When would you use a correspondent attorney:

A correspondent attorney founds jurisdiction for a specific court. In South African Law you have to have a nominated address for service within a 15km radius of the Court out of which you want to litigate. For example, if you are based in Durban and you need work done in Randburg Magistrates Court you will need to appoint a correspondent attorney to handle the matter in that area.
