1. Where were you born?

        Cape Town.

2. Who did you last text?

       My girlfriend.

3. What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

        I mostly work out and spend time with my girlfriend and friends, try new activities, cooking, play boardgames and videogames, and read.

4. If you were really tired, hungry and dirty – would you choose to eat, sleep or shower first?

       Definitely shower first, then eat, and finally sleep.

5. What are your nicknames?

      I go by many, but most people just call me Dyl.

6. If you had a time machine, would you go back in time or visit the future?

      I would most likely visit the future, as one I don’t want to deal with time travel paradoxes.

7. If you could only hear one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

       Picking one song is difficult, since it’s too mood dependent.

8. If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

       Trinchado, but with veggies on the side because I don’t want any deficiencies.

9. If you could go anywhere on holiday, where would you go?

        I have an unreasonably long list of destinations I want to visit in my lifetime, and the first place I would visit is Cambodia, specifically to see Angkor Wat.

10. Do you squeeze the toothpaste tube or roll up from the bottom?

        Squeeze, then roll when it’s 99% empty.

11. Which superhero would you choose to be?

        Arthur Curry, i.e. Aquaman. Totally underrated.

12. What did you do to celebrate your last birthday?

        Dinner with friends.

13. What is your life motto?

       Accept the things that you cannot change, and change the things that you cannot accept.

14. What type of music do you enjoy listening to?

        Deathcore, alternative rock, indie rock, experimental Nordic folk, and some pop and rap music.

15. Tell us something we don’t know about you?

        I have been to 11 countries.

16. Would you rather be ugly and live forever or be beautiful and die within a year?

        Ugly and live forever.

17. Would you be willing to eat a bowl of grasshoppers for R30 000?

        Yes, many countries prepare grasshopper dishes as a delicacy.

18. If you could wake up tomorrow in the body of someone else, who would you pick and what would you do?

        I think I would prefer not to live as someone else. Besides, the rules become convoluted – would they then wake up in my body, and then it’s a body swap? In no movie does that end well.

19. What cheers you up?

       A weightlifting session at the gym.

20. Shark diving, bungee jumping or sky diving?

        Shark cage diving.
